The number on the pricing page is not the number for a school with parents in it
Their web-only tiers start at ₹50,000 a year. The moment you want the mobile apps — which is to say, the moment you want parents to see anything — their own toggle adds ₹40,000 a year at every tier. That is not a criticism of the pricing, which is theirs to set and at least visible. It is a warning about comparison: if you are weighing their headline against anyone else’s, weigh the web-plus-mobile row, because a school ERP without a parent app is an office tool, not a school system.
The free Fedena is not where it used to be
Fedena began life with a free open-source edition, and that history is still why many schools shortlist it. Their own support documentation names projectfedena.org as the place to download it. As of 28 October 2026 that address serves the stock "Welcome to nginx!" default page, and its install path returns a 404. We make no claim about what the company intends — only that a school going looking for the free edition today, on the strength of that reputation, will not find a working download at the address their documentation gives. Our free edition is the product we ship and support, not a lineage.
Read the cancellation clause before the feature list
Their published terms say that on cancellation all of your content is immediately deleted from the service and cannot be recovered. We are quoting, not characterising, and a school’s signed contract may differ from the posted terms — ask them. But a school’s fee ledgers, marks and admission records are the institution’s memory, and "immediately deleted" is a sentence worth reading twice before a renewal decision. Our position is the opposite: your data is exportable at any time, and when you leave you keep the free desktop edition running on your own computer with the records in it.
